Hmmm what exactly did you have in mind?
Contextual info and stuff I was thinking.
Oh. That ain't my bag
Then what were YOU thinking?

Awesome! It's nice to see someone putting out subtitled videos of the music in the plays.

Lemme know if you ever get around to doing that. :)
Same here, I could probably help with adding subtitles to the video too. :)

I've been too lazy to go around asking people to help with the translating and stuff. Now, I'm too busy to even try doing that!

GoggiMega, I still need to read the entire topic, but have you thought about using Aegisub to make the subtitles? Sorry about linking to videos since it makes me sound egotisical, but here are a few examples of what you can do with Aegisub:

LazyTown - Russian Morning News Clip (with English Subs)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qes5HjHvkK8
*Placing the subtitles on the top and bottom.

Welcome to LazyTown (Karaoke w/ Subs)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j37HrxwWKx8
*Having fades, placing the subtitles where you want, and karaoke tracking (if wanted).

I'm only an amateur at it, but there's a lot more that can be done. However, it might be difficult to learn at first.

@PolarFox- Actually, it was something like "right in the steak", so I think it was a more kid friendly term initially.

Here´s looking at you, Lazy Genie. :) Poor Halla in this one, yeesh... *grumbles about having to re-dig up the lyrics*

(spoken) Being able to sell you fruit out of a can is cost effective and thus we are able to help each other (from the soundtrack version, not shown)

Life is so easy and everything is so simple
Everything is so fine and dandy
?So bright and happily smiling

If everyone helps one another then life will become so easy.
?
Ha ha!

?So that no one is anxious
?Everything works well
?No one turns their back on us.

In fact, it is true that some villain could blemish the town´s lifestyle
?Still we know that if everyone just helps each other then will life become so easy

?(Spoken) ?And now sing after me!
?
Rikki is the best (repeat)

Yes!
?
?If you look up "twist" in the dictionary
What is seen as wrong and right is written there.
?And only if everyone helps each other
Will life be so easy.

?(Spoken) ?All together now!
?That no one is anxious
?Everything works well
No one turns their back on us.

While it is true that some villain could blemish the town´s lifestyle
Still we know that if everyone just helps each other then life will become so easy??

(Spoken) ?And everyone will be happy!
?

For Jocund. ;) I did half of this when they asked me, but only finished translating it today. I was actually very busy today, also translated Lifið er svo létt. And it´s only 4 am... man I need to sort out my sleep schedule.

I am Halla the Prankster and I awfully decieve
I know nothing better than to do others harm

It´s fun to hit others right in the butt (with her slingshot)
I have never known a funnier game.

?I skip after the kids and beat them up
So the children yell and I slap them, laughing.

I shoot at them with my slingshot and tug at their hair
It goes without saying that many start to cry.

?Torturing others leaves them panicking about me.
So they rush home on the verge of tears

Of course it is all just innocent fun.
Because everyone is very scared of Halla the Prankster

Next up. Christmas in March! Robbie Rotten and Sportacus singing. Robbie was about to break into a house to warm up (I think) and stops, pulls a Jack Skellington and goes "What's this?!" and starts sulking because he wants hot cocoa. And apparently Sportacus notices him or something... I actually don't know. I know some of the translations are a bit awkward.

I am working on Jólin Koma, but there's a few lines that are bugging me so I had to ask someone who knows more about Icelandic for help. Jól eftir Jól kicked my ass... I need to get way better at this language.
In the meantime- Enjoy. Or don't.

You know what is said about men that often loose their way?
When they see a light at Christmas?
You know what is said about such men that often stand alone?
That he has someone on Christmas

No one sees me, I don´t care, though inside I see a celebrtation, when I´m outside
I want to be in peace for Christmas. That's why I'm alone on Christmas.

If it is true that black becomes white
And cold becomes warm on Christmas Eve,
Then it is possible for you to change
And finally find peace on Christmas

What is it to me? I'm tough. Sneaking in the night and stealing from you.
I want to be in peace for Christmas. That's why I'm alone on Christmas.

In the city square all is still and calm
I face towards lights and freshfallen snow
Then I listen to the sound fill the emptiness (in me) on Christmas.

Do you know it´s message: "You shall love your fellow man"?
Throughout the year, beginning now, on Christmas.

You should do "Jólin koma" sooner rather than later.
I love how the song gets Maggified and then Nennified lol.
Hmm.... I´ll give it a try. No promises. I think the last line is "My dad will buy Christmas!" o_O Nenni is seriously spoiled.
